NO change to P&C Constitution this year

The Department of Education has NOT made any changes to the P&C Constitution this year, so there is no requirement to endorse it at your AGM (as per the AGM agenda).
Your P&C should continue to run under the 2018 version, which should have been adopted at last year’s AGM.
Download the model constitution on the info place.

Did you get your renewal notice?

The P&Cs Qld Affiliation Renewal Notice was posted for the attention of your P&C Treasurer at the beginning of February. If you have not received your notice, please contact the State Office.
P&Cs that have not paid this renewal by 31 March will be uninsured and will not have automatic access to P&Cs Qld member services.
If paying your affiliation by internet transfer, please ensure that you reference your member number (from your invoice) so that we know who the payment has come from.

Donating funds and items to assist schools affected by floods in North Queensland

GIVIT is a charitable organisation that connects those who have with those who need. GIVIT has offered to work with Queensland state schools to connect those who are seeking to help with school communities following recent flooding in Townsville.
GIVIT has authorised Queensland state schools to fundraise on GIVIT’s behalf for the flood appeal (e.g. through free dress days, bake sales, sausage sizzles etc.).
The easiest way for a P&C to donate to support Queensland schools is by visiting GIVIT and giving to the “Queensland Flooding” appeal.
To assist school communities, type “For school communities” in the comments box when donating funds.
GIVIT will use donated funds to purchase items that have been requested by the school community.
Schools may also collect and donate requested items through GIVIT. However, please be aware that GIVIT has no capacity to transport items around the state. Schools seeking to donate items will need to arrange transport.

The info place requires a free account and you can also access it by clicking through from the P&Cs Qld website. Any individual can register for the info place and you don’t have to use your P&C email address.
Don’t forget that your username should be all lowercase letters and have no spaces.
Once you have logged in, just click the home menu or go straight to the topics page.

Looking for an auditor?

The State Office has a list of auditors that have been recommended by P&Cs around the state. Email if you would like us to send it to you.
